Hello, I am Dr. Sylisa Lambert-Woodard, co-owner of Alliance Therapy Center LLC. I am a licensed clinician with over 25 years of experience. I graduated from George Mason University in Fairfax, VA with a BS is social work and psychology, a Masters's in social work from Catholic University, Washington D.C., and a Doctorate Degree in Education Counseling from Nova Southeastern, Fort Lauderdale, FL. I attended the Harvard University School of Business for Executive Leadership, and have provided a full life spectrum of clinical and academic services. Eric J. Woodard, COO
Eric J. Woodard is Chief Operating Officer and co-owner of Alliance Therapy Center, LLC. Eric is a veteran of the United States Marine Corps with a specific calling to veterans with PTSD. He has worked in the D.C. Department of Corrections, Stafford County Sherriff’s Office, and is a highly decorated retiree after 25 years of service from the Fairfax County Sheriff’s Office. Eric earned a Bachelor of Science Degree from George Mason University, a Master’s of Science Degree in Counterterrorism from Rochester Institute of Technology of NY, and is a certified Moral Reconation Therapy Counselor. Eric teaches criminal justice as an adjunct professor at local universities, as well as, developing current correctional designs under patent. Eric’s personnel management, data collection, training, and organizational development provides for a well-managed practice with the capacity to respond to the changing environment. “Semper Fidelis.”
Kelly Carter, LPC
Kelly Carter is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) with over 15 years of experience in the field. She obtained her bachelor’s degree from Messiah College and graduate degree from George Mason University. Kelly has worked in nonprofit, local government and private practice settings during her career utilizing her strength-based approach to meet the needs of diverse populations. Kelly works with children, teens, and adults in individual, group, and family sessions. She offers a variety of skills to address concerns related to ADHD and behavioral concerns as well as depression, anxiety, PTSD/trauma, and emotional concerns. Kelly also provides for relational and family concerns and provides Christian counseling to those interested in addressing their spirituality in counseling. Kelly offers several skill sets such as anger management, behavior management/emotion regulation, social skills, interpersonal relationships, communication, healthy families, and organizational skills. For children and teens, she employs a cognitive-behavioral, learning, and activity-based approach matching the developmental stage of the client. For adults, she utilizes a cognitive-behavioral, person-centered, and solution-focused approach touching on the strengths of each individual.

I am Vera C. Peyton, M.B.A., CSAC. I am a Certified Substance Abuse Counselor with over 30 years of experience. My areas of specialty are Substance Abuse Disorders, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Pharmacology Addictions, Family Services, & Mindfulness in Recovery. My Master of Business skills highly accent my daily marketing of Substance Abuse Treatment Programs.
Mark Reeves, LCSW
Having and undergraduate degree in Psychology from Mary Washington and a Masters Degree in Social Work from Virginia Commonwealth, I feel very fortunate to work with individuals, couples, and families in my hometown of Fredericksburg, VA. I have been Licensed and Practicing at my current location since 2002.
Marlyn Goins-McCants, LCSW
Marlyn Goins-McCants is a licensed behavioral health clinician and manager with over 25 years of experience in the social work profession. She is experienced in multiple fields including, addictions, mental health, child welfare, juvenile justice, family and community services and health care at the local, state and national levels. She is experience as a Military Family Life Counselor, assigned to Military installations in the US and Japan. She has also provided individual, group and family counseling services to service members and their families. She has also provided psycho education, presentations etc. to assist military families, worked with existing military family support programs to complement the services provided to service members and their families. She was instrumental in establishing Victoria Transcultural Center, a mental health agency, which provided intensive in home and outpatient counseling services specializing in working with Latino and African American families. She has worked as a supervised Clinical Director, LCSW, and LPC supervisor. She has also served as Child and Family technical expert lead with a team contracting with Substance Abuse Mental Health Services Administration (SAMSHA). Provided support for approximately 17 service providers and organizations that were awarded grants through the Pregnant and Post-Partum women's grant program. She has worked with the Department of Juvenile Service in Baton Rouge, Louisiana to serve on the Department executive management team and assist in the continued effort to transform Juvenile Justice in the State in efforts to obtain national correctional accreditation.
Marcella Rummel, LMFT
Marcella Rummel has had over 40 years of diverse experience in the mental health field. She has been a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) since 1997 and has continued to devote her time to help and improve the lives of others.
During sessions with her clients, Marcella Rummel maintains a holistic approach that focuses on body, soul, and spirit wherein she combines both Biblical and psychological principles. The combination of Christian values and psychotherapy is very effective with many diverse circumstances ranging from individual and marriage therapy to family counseling.
Marcella is a member of the American Psychological Association (APA). The membership with this professional organization allows her to gain the best insight to help best support her clients and use that insight in all of her sessions.
Kenni Walker, LPC
Kenni Walker, LPC is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Virginia. She earned her master’s degree in Counseling from Capella University in 2014. She also holds a Master’s in Business Administration. Kenni appreciates the notion that success is a matter of one’s perspective based on their life’s efficacy and satisfaction.
Kenni has worked with a variety of populations to include women (issues), adolescents, LGBTQ, sex-positive, re-entry, the terminally ill, and various culturally diverse groups.
At Alliance, Kenni utilizes an eclectic approach of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy combined with a myriad of treatments to include, but are not limited to, Holistic, Solution Focused, Reality, Dialectical, multicultural, positive psychology, and mindfulness, among other proven applications. Kenni’s philosophy is that there is no one way to treat anyone and her approaches are just as unique to the individual client.
Johanna Peña, Resident in Counseling
Johanna Peña is a Resident in Counseling, Group Facilitator and CSAC Intern for Alliance Therapy Centers in Virginia. Ms. Peña has a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Keiser University in Ft. Lauderdale, FL. She is fluent in English and Spanish. certified in Moral Reconation Therapy (MRT), has 3+ years working with adults with Substance Use Disorders, and 1+ year experience in Crisis Stabilization with the Rappahannock Area Community Service Board (RACSB). Ms. Pena also has specialties in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-focused brief Therapy (SMBT), and Person Centered Therapy practices.
Ms. Peña is regularly volunteering with community-based organizations serving the Spotsylvania educational community.
Eric Jackson, Admin
Serves as an operational and financial administrator for Alliance Therapy Center. Alumnus of Virginia State University, receiving his Bachelor of Arts degree in Music in 2009, and Masters of Special Education, Summa Cum Laude in 2014. Mr. Jackson has received in-depth training from the Tiger Woods Foundation on inquiry based and project based learning. Currently teaches Math for high school students receiving Special Education services. He has years of classroom and industry experience working with STEM, Arts and Technology, Public Policy, Computer Science, and International Baccalaureate curriculums.
Anika Woodard-Jackson NCAC-I, CSAC
Alumna of the University of Bridgeport, receiving her Bachelor of Arts degree in Industrial Design in 2016 and becoming a Certified Substance Abuse Counselor Assistant in 2016. Miss Woodard-Jackson received her Moral Reconation Therapy Certification in 2017 and National Certified Substance Abuse Counseling license in 2020. Miss Woodard-Jackson is implementing her knowledge to serve acute populations with 4 years of experience managing a Residential Facility serving dual diagnosis individuals clients, working with adolescents and children in the aspects of mental health, development, and design of teaching and therapeutic aids. Miss Woodard-Jackson is currently attending Capella University to become a Licensed Professional Counselor.
